How to… Exorcise a demon, the Taoist way
If you’ve been going through a series of unfortunate events or making more mistakes than usual, you might be haunted by a spirit. Feng shui master Andrew Chan explains how exorcism works.
- The most common strategy is to conjure the power of late spiritual masters in a ceremony and transfer a Taoist charm onto them, which will then be burned to ashes and mixed with water.
- Get the posessed person to drink it for a boost of willpower; their “yang” level will rise and the demon will go away. Chan says in severe cases, the patient will throw up—a healthy indication that the demon has left their body.
- In minor cases, Chan suggests exercising and positive thinking. It’s much harder for spirits to possess people with a strong body and mind.
